Reflection Questions
Recap:
In life it's seldom enough to ask if something could be done without considering whether it should be done. When it comes to something as difficult and painful as divorce it's never enough to simply recognize grounds for a "biblical divorce". We need to prayerfully consider how to approach a biblical divorce so it also reflects God's character traits of faithfulness, justice, mercy, and above all love. That way it can be considered a godly divorce because it reflects God's own Self-described divorce in Ezekiel 16 and Jeremiah 3. Life isn't fair because the world is a dark place but the call to God's people is to be a faithful light. It's not an easy path but its also not a lonely path, for our crucified and risen Shepherd takes every step with us.
